TODO: game.cfg: the header on this might be misleading; does hl.exe runtime overlay changes into settings.scr instead? Test poorly-understood Varinger changes: ahl.git c9eb96c3 "Uploading fixed ahlg_wikkedkorp_dc goal, among other things" These are partially stripper2'd and partially ripented instead of fully ripented for some reason? https://ahl.omgwallhack.org/tmp/ahlg_wikkedkorp_dc.ent.diff which brings up a number of questions, such as 1) is the kill-the-VIP goal playable in the first place 2) can/should the hack-the-laptop changes be fully moved into the _str.cfg to support both options OR 3) can/should the hack-the-laptop changes be fully moved into the .bsp so it works out-of-the-box 4) how should the .txt file be updated ahl.git bbd028fc all but one of ahl_manic.bsp's info_player_start entities got converted to info_player_deathmatch for some reason? Try to work out why this might be. Test out ahlg_* PsyCHo ini changes with mp_nogoals 0 Ripent and resgen fails on maps/ahl_snowmax.bsp due to being BSP version 29 instead of 30. Asked about this in #ahl. In principle, if all the non-entity lumps remain identical, this is CRC-compatible. I don't know if that's possible. Review gitignore for extraneous file cleanup and/or fresh autogeneration: https://secure.piny.svcs.cs.pdx.edu/cgit/ahl/tree/.gitignore Review validation scripts for use in release engineering and possibly even be distributed in the release itself: https://secure.piny.svcs.cs.pdx.edu/cgit/ahl/tree/bin (Maybe add script to autogenerate models/player/$m/320_$m.tga from 640_$m.tga ... or just delete 320_$m.tga as irrelevant) Check URLs throughout release and migrate to archive.org wayback machine or something more modern where appropriate. /usr/bin/strip linux .so files, make sure linux client.so gets loaded as part of liblist.gam add commented out metamod entry to liblist.gam from ahl.git to guide admins on installation Credits: PsyCHo: "I'm fine with PsyCHo" (vgui, inis) Varinger: ??? (ahlmd maintenance during the era we're pulling in fixes from) Work out how to credit Hysler/Al fixes hykosphy: (programming, release engineering) BungMonkey: "Joe Rayhawk" (release engineering)
